What happens to your car?

Your car will be recycled in an environmentally friendly manner.
Items such as radiators, cylinder heads, starter motors, alternators and alloy wheels will be removed for their aluminium and copper content.
Catalytic converter (part of exhaust system fitted to post 1986 cars) removed for platinum content.
Any tyres still in good condition removed and resold.
The remains of the car will finish up at either Onesteel (Hemmant)  or Simsmetal (Rocklea) where it will be fed into a monster shredding machine where steel (approximately 75 to 80 percent of the car) and other metals such as aluminium, copper and zinc are magnetically and electronically separated from non metallics such as plastics and rubber.
The shredded steel is either remelted here in Australia or overseas into new steel products such as building materials, whitegoods or even new cars.
The non metallic items are placed into landfill sites.

Before we arrive to remove your car

Please remove the number plates, E-TAG toll device and any personal belongings from the car. We cannot be responsible for their loss after the car is removed.
Please allow us clear access to the car to be removed, either in the street or on your driveway.
